- By the way, I travelled to China, picked up my special needs son, brought him home, and lived happily ever after. My friend adopted a baby girl domestically and a 4 months later the birth father appeared, claimed he was never informed, and the baby was taken away. As a mother, that is terrifying.

- FYI: I know for a fact that this child has had 2 negative sputum tests and chest xrays showing improvement with the medication (i.e. it is not the drug resistant strain). She had these tests done at one of the finest hospitals in that part of China.

- I too am so sick of the selfish, self-centered, and racist people who take a child with absolutely nothing into a loving home and raise them with kindness and compassion so that they can grow up and become productive contributors to society. What a-holes!

- First of all, absolutely no one is going to die by letting these kids into the country. According to experts there have only been 2 reported cases EVER of a child transmitting TB... kids cannot cough hard enough to transmit the germs.
